Kayu Resort is located in the small country of El Salvador in the La Libertad region on the beach, in front of the Sunzal surf break in Sunzal, next to the town of El Tunco. Kayu Resort is a seaside 7-room boutique resort with expansive ocean views and adjacent bar and grill on the beach.
The resort was conceived, designed and built by the owners Steve and Robin Wilson who completed construction in 2009 and opened their doors to visitors in 2010. A Private Custom two-story Master Casa was designed and completed in 2015.
Just 45 minutes from San Salvador Airport, the resort and oceanfront bar and grill are accessible with three to five-hour flights from cities like New York, Houston and Los Angeles. Continental, American, united, Delta, Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Aeromexico, and Spirit Airlines offer frequent flights. Currently the resort offers a shuttle for guests for purchase or have them use common public or private transportation like shuttles or rental cars.
